Enjoying Nature | Scrapbook Layout

It has been a moment since I have shared a scrapbook page on here and on Facebook. I finished this page up today with a couple of pictures from our trip to the botanical gardens. For this layout, I chose to use this wonderful kit, Great Outdoors: Earth Friendly by Kristin Cronin-Barrow at Sweet Shoppe Designs and one of the templates from the Beautiful World set by Two Tiny Turtles. I blended together a solid paper and the paper with the trees and starry night sky to create my background. I have been doing so many page with a white base and I figured it was time to switch it up a little. Plus, I have a thing for dark blue.. navy blue.. whatever you like to call it.

Besides that awesome background paper with the trees, my favorite element from the kit has to be that grass heart. I saw it and just knew I had to use it.

Looking at this layout makes me think of my project life I just kind of let fall between the cracks. I may be about a third done with 2013 and still keeping little notes and statuses saved, but I just have not been able to start back. I still want to finish 2013. I think sticking to one theme throughout an entire book became a little challenging for me. Oh, and editing all the photos… That is always the part that takes me the longest. Mostly because I have to choose a photo first and I can never choose just one and be done with it. I will figure out a way to tackle it better.
