MOC @ TLP | Imperfect Photo – Fixed ’em!

Another challenge down. :) I have no idea how close to 30 I will get with my limited scrap time, but I am going to do as many of these as I can. I tackled the imperfect photo challenge (Jan. 10th) today and have the challenges from the 2nd and 9th marked on my to-do list next to tackle.

So, my imperfect photos were taken back in November. We had just gotten back from picking Aida up at school and she was wearing her new sweater that I just love. I really wanted a photo of her in it, so we ran outside and snapped a few. I did not realize how harsh the shadows were on her face until I was getting the photos off my memory card. Not only that, but the white balance is just hideous. I opened up the DNG files in Lightroom 5 and used the adjustment brush [set to: increase the exposure, decrease saturation and contrast, and lift the shadows] to lessen the shadows. Then, I made my normal adjustments to get a nice clean edit and applied my latest favorite photo action.
