Yes… 2014 is only weeks away and am still working on 2012 project life pages. And…. I have no problem with that. How do I keep up with notes and dates? My iPhone has been my best friend along the way. I use an app called Everyday.me. I can view on my iPhone, iPad or on the web. I can choose to have my monthly backups sent to my email, Evernote or Dropbox. I choose email because I can just do a search and download the PDFs. Each PDF pulls updates from my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Blog feeds. If there are photos in the post, they are copied into the PDF, which has been a lifesaver for me. Sometimes that helps to jog my memory even more.
To keep up with my progress for the year, I use two things:
1- Julian Calendar – I have this saved as a layed PSD files, and I highlight the days I have completed as I go.
2- Weekly Calendar – I download and save this as an additional layer on my PSD file. It makes it easier to keep up with the week number so I don’t have to try to count them.
This is a screenshot of the two to show you what I mean. The red numbers were what I added to the calendar to count the weeks before I found the weekly calendar. I need to that clean that up but usually I am so quick to update my progress that I do not even think about it.
Here are the latest weeks I have completed for 2012. On week 26, I did not keep up with the credits because I got the urge to just start on the page and did not feel like keeping up. Most of the items are freebies I have found through other blogs and some digital kits I have from my creative team work and my many shopping sprees (lol!). My 2012 album is definitely more scattered in the design and choice of papers/elements used. As long it matches the Amber Edition of the Project Life binder I have, I will use it.
This page was created with the following digital items:
- Document 2014 Kit – Mari Koegelenberg + Studio Basic Designs
- Stencil and Spray Alpha No. 2 – Jenn Barrette
- Paper White Alpha – Sara Gleason
