New Recipe Sunday

It has been awhile…a long while since I have posted here. For a minute, I was trying to figure out what to do with this blog and the gaming blog I started. I haven’t been feeling up to much anything lately. I did decide to keep them for now.  I may just do a post in the near future about my web host because they are pretty awesome about answering promptly any and every question I throw at them.

Anyway, it’s been a long week. First my daughter was sick, then my son, and then myself and my husband. I have never been this sick in a long time. I just felt miserable. I thought it was from the weather changing but I am not sure. Either way, I almost feel human and decided to cook today. On Tumblr, there is this awesome blog, Food FFS, that shares recipes daily. So many I want to try and today I picked one out before headed to do the grocery shopping. I haven’t been able to eat much or taste anything but I saw this Mongolian chicken recipe I really wanted to try.  I didn’t change much about the recipe, if anything. I did half the amount of brown sugar they suggested because that seemed like it would be way to sweet and I added some broccoli. Glad I changed it because the kids and I enjoyed it!

I am always skeptical about trying recipes I find online but this one was simple and I decided to measure everything out to keep with the proportions. Definitely will be keeping this one and adding it as a go-to meal. A lot of the ingredients are ones we tend to have in the house most of the time, so that makes it easier too.

Hope you’re having a good Sunday!
