And just like that….

…the weekend is over. Where did it go? Aida got to celebrate Valentine’s Day with her class on Friday. We went earlier in the week to get her a shirt and a skirt to wear with it. She bought princess cards and lollipops to give to her class. She was so excited about the day.  I was not sure what to get her but I knew I had to get her and Brayden something. My mom always bought us gifts, so it is something I started doing for Aida. I ended up getting her some chocolate and we made an impromptu trip to the mall (just the girls), which led to more chocolate (chocolate chip and red velvet cookies this time). We somehow ended up in Claire’s and Aida bought some lip gloss and a ring. She loves lip gloss a little too much. She wanted red but I was not having that. I told her to find a shade a pink. I had her get the lighter shade of pink that would blend with her lips but when we got the register she pulled the switcheroo on me. By the time I looked up, I saw the lady bagging up the darker pink lip gloss. I wanted to get out of that store and away from the crowd, so I just let it be.

I got a few photos of the kiddos opening their gifts Friday evening. I went ahead and gave it to them since Aida was still hyped from school.

I did not notice until I was resizing these photos that baby boy does not have on socks. He just won’t keep them on! Lately, he loves all things paper. So, when we saw the blue hanging out of the bag, he grabbed that quick and his ball and sippy cups just tumbled out. He would have rather had the tissue paper but since he tries to chew and taste everything, we had to move it quickly after I got done snapping these photos. For my scrapbook page, I used a new kit, Tandem, by Forever Joy Designs and a set of journal card templates, Journalers no. 5, by Valorie Wibbens.
