February 2018

It has been awhile. I have been consumed with my games and trying to make time to scrapbook and making time to sleep. It has been rough on the sleep front! Goodness! I might get 4 or 5 hours in a 24 hour period. Even when I get a chance to lay down and sleep longer, my body wakes up anyway. There are sometimes when there is too much noise around me and it is hard to fall asleep. It’s like my mind is concentrating and trying to figure out what is going on instead of just coming to a calm.

The kids are doing fine though. Aida is still going strong with school. They celebrate way more than her old school, so I am pretty sure I will be needing to get some Valentine treats for her class soon. Speaking of that, I never did post about Christmas. We had our first Christmas in our new home. It was fun. The kids got to enjoy their grandparents and aunt and uncle coming to visit from Alabama. One thing I do hate I missed was our family photo in our PJs. I have one of the kids that I will have to scrapbook eventually. They enjoyed all of their gifts and still are. We didn’t go too crazy this year. I reminded them that moving to a new state and buying our first home was quite an expensive gift on its own.

When I was making this particular scrapbook layout, I went back and forth about what photos to use. Our apartment was so small and cluttered. I had no idea how much we had accumulated.

It has taken a lot of hard work and sacrifices these past few years, but it has definitely been worth it. I have a little guy to get back to and more scrapbook pages to come. For this page, I wanted something simple and a design that would center around the background paper. I love how the pattern is divided up and wanted to use that as inspiration for my page design. The digital products that were used include:

This week has also flown by so quickly. I am so glad. We finally got some snow here and the cold has settled in. I see a very, lazy weekend ahead of us. It is not as cold here as it would get in Wisconsin and definitely not as much snow. Either way, we will take it. Hope you are having a good day and thanks for stopping by my blog!
