This past Thursday, my little ladybug turned 7 years old! I am sure I have said it before but I will say it again. She has changed and grown up so much this last year. Every day she surprises me with something new. Miss A has been adding new words to her vocabulary and I am enjoying hearing her use each one of them. For her birthday, we took her to lunch and enjoyed an adorable Barbie cake and ice cream. She got an Elsa costume she has been asking about for the longest. I also got her some new summer clothing and more shoes, which she loved. The one thing that I really wanted to make sure we gave her was time. During the week I am tired and just trying to get one task done after another, so I may not get as much one on one time as I would like with her. With her dad working nights, the only time she really gets to see him during the week is when he takes her to school in the mornings. She loves that alone time with her dad.
Saturday we went out to get headphones with mics so that we could all play Minecraft together and voice chat. Surprisingly, she and I built a house together. I told her I had this texture pack that I downloaded just so I could build modern houses and she was all for it. We worked together gathering materials and she helped me build our home from the ground up. It was definitely a lot of fun. Of course, I had to scrap a page to remember the fun we had. I definitely need to do an all journaling/no photo page about it.
