This has been an okay week. School clothes shopping is done and supply list fulfilled. I will admit I cheated a little on the supply list. Since it is her first year of school, I ordered the school box that has all of the supplies included in a bin that will be sent to the school. I wanted her to start the year with the same things as her classmates. The supplies I bought will be extras for now. I actually love school supply shopping, so that shopping day was quite a fun one for me (besides the temper tantrum my 5 year old threw in the store – story for another day). These days leading up to school I have been trying to find things for my daughter and I to do outside of the house. It is hard to get me to leave the house but at the same it drives me a little crazy to be here so many days in a row.
The other day it was so quiet and Aida was in her room while I was in mine. I decided on a whim to take her to the park. She was in full pretend mode before we even got out of the car. It normally takes her a minute to warm up to the idea of playing on her own, but she is getting better. I was so glad to see her enjoying the park and not just focusing on trying to make friends. There is nothing wrong with that but I don’t like to see her disappointed. I made a page with a few photos of her on the slide. It was her and another little girl (looked to be 3 years old) sliding down the slide. They were racing to see who would get to the slide first and who could get down the fastest. Aida was opposed to me taking any photos, so I had to get these as quickly as possible.

I even edited a few other photos that I will scrap on another page at some point. All of these were taken with my 85mm f/1.8 lens. I still love this lens…probably more than my 50. :) The set can be found here.
