I have been getting my layouts in order to start printing pages for Brayden’s first book and I thought I would share some of them today. I started with this color palette: red, white, blue, yellow. Some of these pages I have shared before but I figured it may be easier to see the direction I am going in if they are all together. A few of the pages I need to re-do since they do not fit in the theme as well, so I have set those to the side. It has been hard to stay with the same colors, so if the photo permits, I will change it up. I bought an album a few months ago and I have page protectors and will add my layouts in chronological order as I go.

I toyed with the idea of making a book. It just did not appeal to me. What if I want to change something? I cannot just print out a layout and remove the old one. A book is bound and permanent and it would drive me crazy if I made a mistake. I would see it every time I looked through the book. At least using an album, I have more control over that aspect.

The most recent page I finished is this one using photos of my son and daughter when he was 9 days old. I used the newest pocket scrapbooking collection, Composition, and an add-on kit and journal card set by Sahlin Studio from some of the amazing designers at The Lilypad. For the title moments like these, I used one of my favorite fonts, League Spartan, and applied the following layer style settings in Photoshop CC:  Stroke >> Size 6 px Position Center Blend Mode Normal Opacity 100% Overprint Unchecked Fill Type Color – #000000.
