Design Inspiration .01

Just a quick post today to share how I come up with some of my page designs. I am not a big template user. I don’t feel like I use them well and when I do, it actually takes me longer to complete a page. It had been awhile since I browsed Pinterest, so this past week,  I decided to get back at it when I was thinking of what my next layout would look like. I wanted to do something on the minimal side of things. Here is what I was inspired by (links to the pins are below) :

Here is the result :

I used the custom shape tool in Photoshop for the rounded rectangle boxes and triangles (no fill, 1pt stroke with color #3b3b3b). The papers and elements I used are from the newest collaboration kit by Jenn Barrette and Lauren Grier, Everyday: Simplify. I have plans to make another page with this collection but I have not had a chance to finish just yet. Hopefully, I will have it to share later today or tomorrow.
