Fall Colors + a Layout for my Sweet Prince

In Alabama, fall still looked like summer for a while. By the time the leaves turned colors and fell, it was winter. Here in Wisconsin fall goes by so quickly and it rains quite a bit and I miss it. So, I never seem to have any good fall outdoor photos. As I was going through my photos, I started looking of some of the ones from when my son was an infant. I have scrapped quite a few of them, but some I have held on so closely to and was hesitant to scrapbook them.

The photos I used on this layout were taken by my daughter. We were still trying to find our new normal and I was so tired that most days I only took a few snapshots here or there. I didn’t worry what the photos looked like. I just took them. Then one evening my daughter asked if she could take my photo since I was always the one taking them of everyone else. I really did not want to. I was so tired and my hair was a mess tied back with a scarf. Then, I thought of all the photos I took with her as a baby and it would not be fair if my son did not have any photos of he and his mama like his big sister. So, I gave in… tired eyes and all.

The digital scrapbook kit used for this layout is a collaboration, Beautifall, by Amber Shaw and Studio Flergs. From now and until September 22nd, you can get this gorgeous kit for free with a $10 purchase from Sweet Shoppe Designs. The font I used for the name + date and ‘my sweet prince’ label is Antonio. I have been trying to use more of my fonts that I have collected over the years.

Thanks for visiting!
