I am happy to finally be wrapping up my 2012 album for project life. When I started this project, I decided not to put myself on a time schedule. I just wanted to create the pages when I was ready. I don’t like doing too much of the same thing … because then it gets boring. I came up with a system of organizing my photos and using a few iPhone apps to save daily notes. One of my favorite things is being able to add item from the Facebook feed onto pages. The Everday.me app collects my Facebook, Twitter, and Blog feeds (along with any notes/photos I add into the app) and emails them to me in a PDF file. [side note: I will admit that I will sometimes post my thoughts on FB only so they can be collected into the app; therefore, making it easier to find the notes]. I save the PDFs and open them to scroll through them as I am choosing photos from my hard drive to represent each day or whatever moment I am recording. It is definitely a system that is working for me, so I will probably keep doing it this way until some catastrophe happens and I just have to change it up.
My last share of my 2012 pages are in this post. Here are my pages since then and I now have two more weeks to go…
When I got to December, I was not sure if I would stick with my color scheme or go with a more festive theme. I decided to just go with it, especially after I found these adorable journal cards from Oh Snap! Boutique. She had a huge Easter sale, so I went on a little shopping spree. When these cards were first released, I just knew I would have to have them… and my patience paid off. Whenever the gold foil or gold gradient… whatever you call it… trend started, I fell in love with it.
