Using the Lighting Effects Filter in PS

I have been a digital memory keeper for the past 8 years. I still love it. It is still my place of ‘peace’ in the midst of chaos. Over the years, I have learned a lot. Most of it I learned by scouring my favorite scrapbook forums for tutorials and anything remotely instructional. I wanted to learn and I wanted to make gorgeous pages like those of the ladies I looked up to in the community.  I hope that you will join me as I share all I have learned (and still learning) over the years.

PHOTOSHOP  FILTERS. How can they enhance your digital layouts? There are several different filter within Photoshop, but one of my favorites is the Lighting Effects filter. I tend to use it to add a vignette effect around my page. Maybe I want to highlight a certain area or just add a soft, shading around the outer edges. The best thing about using a filter is that you can make the effect as bold or as subtle as you like by simply adjusting the opacity of its layer or changing the intensity or color of the light.

Enjoy! If you have any questions, ideas, suggestions, or anything you would like to share after watching, please leave a comment below.
