An exciting surprise to the new releases is a new designer, Bobbie of River Rose has joined the team at SSD. When she started posting her products, I knew she was going to be a great fit with the team. The first kit, Sunshine and Shadows, drew me in because of the papers. Those patterns were calling my name. The inspiration for my layout hit me when I was playing the Sims 4 and another first person shooter I was addicted to. I had been checking out some videos on how to do certain things and it just made me want to create a bold, in-your-face kind of page… and that is what I did. As with all of my latest layouts, I added layers of vibrance and levels to make the colors deeper and more vibrant and used a surface blur filter to reduce the texture on the papers. Flat UI web design still intrigues me, so most of my layouts still reflect that (use of less shadows) and I love it. It may or may not be a good obsession.

Now, my son was about 1 year and 3 months old and he really wanted to help his sister build. Their dad bought this set when baby girl asked for it while we were in a home goods store. Oh those pieces were all over the place and baby boy thought the posts were good for hitting people and things. It was crazy wild, but at least I got a photo when the fun part had just bagan (lol!).

This last page is one about the fun my daughter had during the first snow of the winter using a collaboration kit, Evolving by Sugary Fancy and River Rose. I just love the colors and really wanted to make sure this was a fun page that reflected the feelings of that moment. Like the above page, I used adjustment layers of levels and vibrance in Photoshop and a bit of the surface blur filter. Once I finished, I flattened my image to add a filter of some fun lighting and vignette around the edges.
