I have to admit this summer has been a bit of a struggle keeping my little lady busy. Last year, we were going places, getting to know our new city, crafting, and just a little bit of whatever. I am 35 weeks (8th month) along in my pregnancy and it is getting harder to move around. With my first, it was nothing like this. I mean …. I was 6 years younger but dang! Like, I am not old… I don’t think. 30 is still young…right? Ugh! I have eaten much better this time around, walking and getting out more, and everything is going well… it’s just that I am sore. I mean parts of me hurt that I did not know could hurt (lol!). Being that I am on a bit of a personal mission though, I am not letting it stop me. I have made it through a week or two with mind-numbing, blinding migraines so I am not letting this get the best of me.
Reading and writing are my daughter’s favorite things to do, so I signed her up for the summer reading program at our local library. She loves to go through and pick out her own books. Today I let her check-in and check-out her own books. We got 8 more to bring home. This time she even had a request for a book, but all of the copies were checked out. I am pretty sure she is going to have a wish list by the time we go back. Afterwards, we headed across the street to the park so she could ride her bike and play on the playground.
She really needed to burn some energy. She is just so… active… it’s ridiculous. I just wish I had half of the energy she has.
