Recent Scrapbook Layouts

Just a quick post of some of my latest and favorite pages. My head has been elsewhere lately so I have been back in my shell a bit. I even thought about getting rid of my social media accounts but I may just delete the apps and deactivate for awhile if it comes down to it. I need an outlet so I have started to play The Sims 4 again (…and Sims 3 if I can get that mess to act right). You can check out my sim blog here.  After our summer trip to Georgia and Alabama, baby boy’s sleep patterns were terribly off but now they are finally getting back to normal. He has been going to bed around 7 or 8 pm and sleeping through the night with the occasional diaper change and a little rocking back to sleep. He is up by 6 am to get the day started so I get him a bath and a breakfast snack before I have to wake up ladybug.  He even took a morning nap yesterday around 9 am, which he has not done in months. We shall see. Crossing my fingers we can stay on this trend.

Now.. those pages…

I could not resist this adorable new kit by Forever Joy Designs, Donut Worry. It just seemed to go so well with one of our school morning photos. I also used a template from the Monkshood set by Sara Gleason, and an alpha from Allison Pennington’s Building Blocks v. 2 set.

I have been waiting to scrap photos from her first grade field trips and this is the first. I had never been to an actual flower nursery. My allergies used to be so bad that I could not stand it. This time it was bearable and we had a great time seeing all of the beautiful flowers and plants and even learning a bit in between. For this page I used a template by Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs from her Think Happy Be Happy set, Viewpoint kit by Sahlin Studio, The Little Things Journal Cards by Amber LaBau and Sahlin Studio, and Composed: Patterns & Backgrounds by Allison Pennington. I decided to use all of these items together because I loved the colors and they seemed perfect. The flower my daughter was planting in the photos was given to me for Mother’s Day, and these colors feel like spring and love to me.

Of course, one to share of my big boy. He recently gave us a big scare. Seems like he is allergic to milk or maybe just a component of it. We had to rush him to the emergency room for a bad case of hives. His face was swollen and he did not look like my little squishy face. It made me sad to see him like that and he was frustrated with all of the itching. His big sister has a tree nut allergy and now this, but we shall handle it too. For now, I am buying him soy milk as we have had no problems with it. Pretty sure I scrapped this page that week. I used the Choose Joy kit and journal cards by Amanda Yi and a template from the Sweet as Candy set by Two Tiny Turtles.  I just love this color palette. Thinking about saving it to use for my 2014 project life.
